Dr. Webb To The Rescue!
Landon had a rough evening yesterday before getting ready for bed. He and Logan were playing Star Wars with each other, jumping over the close I was folding, over the couch and over me. Logan switches between characters such as OB1, Yoda, and Darth Vader while Landon is always Anikin. You have to hear him say "I am Anikin!" It's the funniest thing. Any way Logan jumped over the leather chair in the front room and of course Landon had to try too. Well he ended up falling over the back of the chair right onto his forehead. There was an instant goose egg on his head. When Logan saw it he ran to his first aid kit that he got for his birthday (one of the three things he asked for) and got out a couple of bandaids and then ran to the freezer and got his Batman ice pack and started trying to help Landon feel better. Now that's a great big brother! Way to go Logan.
Forward: Landon is back to his normal adventurous self today climbing on the dirt mountain Brion and Scott created in the back yard on Saturday.

Welcome to the World Baby Girl!
We are so happy to announce that Lexie Jo made her entrance into the world on Thursday September 18, 2008 weighing in at 8lb 8 oz and measuring 19 inches long. Everyone at the hospital said she was the cutest little girl and we agree! The boys are very excited about her. They will be great big brothers for her. I do have to say that she was so content when she was at the hospital. She barely cried at all. Then we took her home and she starts getting fussy. I guess that is the way it goes. She is still pretty content though. We are trying to get used to all of the pink in the house. Brion has calmed down on the boys playing with pink. He has come to the realization that it is now a part of our lives. We are happy to have her in our family. The boys are still ahead 3 to 2 but if you count Daisy we are tied! Go Girls!

Anniversary of 9/11
On this the anniversary of September 11, 2001 I can't help but remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the attack occurred. I am sure all of you (the three that look at this blog) remember where you were also. The heroic stories that emanate from that day are a good reminder to us all of why this is the greatest country in the world. The police and firefighters in New York that risked everything to help those trapped in the towers are an inspiration to me as are those people in the plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field and at the Pentagon who fought and died so that others wouldn't have to. They put others before themselves, they risked their lives and many lost their lives in the act of serving others.
Recordings of last phone calls to loved ones and the images of that day still strike a cord with me as they should with you. It is critical that each of us remember that day so we don't become complacent in our resolve to do better and to be better people where ever we are and what ever we are doing.
I thank God for those who, without thought of themselves, are willing to stand against tyrants to protect what is most dear to us as Americans, our freedom. God bless those who continue to battle the enemy on their soil and not ours so that we can be safe from those who want to destroy us. God bless those who serve us in our times of need. Next time you look at the Flag or hear the National Anthem I hope you think of those who have lost everything so we can have everything and resolve with in your self to stand up for what is right and protect those that may not be able to protect themselves. God Bless us all and God Bless America.
